In 2007 Northwest Steel Erection erected a particularly unique structure in downtown Des Moines. This structure was a mixed use building consisting of a 9-story precast parking ramp and a 5-story office on top. Northwest Steel erected over 1800 pieces of structural precast with a Manitowoc 2250 crane. The structural precast was fabricated by IPC of Des Moines. The structural steel was fabricated by Drake Williams Steel. Ball Construction was the general contractor for the entire project.
