In 2008 Northwest Steel Erection completed a 9-story parking garage for Principal Financial in Des Moines, Iowa. The building consisted of 9 levels of structural precast. Northwest erected over 1700 pieces of structural precast. The Building included a steel skywalk to the existing office structure and an extensive miscellaneous package. The Miscellaneous package included a cornice, bow trusses, and 200,000lf of post tension cable rails. Weitz Co of Des Moines was the general contractor, Weitz CPD provided the misc. steel packages, and IPC of Des Moines produced the precast.
